Advocating for you.

The Downtown Los Angeles Residents Association (“DTLA RA”) is a grassroots advocacy group for Downtown residents by Downtown residents.

We’re united in the belief that DTLA can be the best place in LA to work, live, and play. We love our neighbors and want our community to grow so more Angelenos can enjoy the benefits of an affordable, walkable, connected, thriving neighborhood.

Like so many great cultural and civic centers across the country, Downtown Los Angeles has been disproportionately harmed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Downtown LA deserves more, and so do you.

By working together, we’re on a mission to lift up the voices of Downtown LA residents and create a better neighborhood—and better Los Angeles—for all.

If you live in DTLA, then we want to meet you, hear you, and work with you to help our community thrive.

  1. Check out the preliminary results of our inaugural 2024 DTLA Resident Survey here to learn what Downtowners like you love and want to improve in. DTLA.

- Cassy Horton and Leslie Ridings, DTLA RA Co-Founders

Our mission is to create a connected, caring, civically engaged urban community that inspires new and existing residents to make DTLA their long-term home.

We do this by fostering strong neighbor relationships, addressing post-pandemic and forward-facing community challenges, and increasing our voter turnout to shape our shared future.
